3 Best Bakeries in Sydney NSW

Visited this lovely corner shop bakery for a coffee and a cake, what a great place this is. Staff were welcoming, helpful and amicable. All the cakes and pastries looked very tempting so decided on the almond praline crossaint which was recommended and did not disappoint. Will definitely try to return to sample a couple of more cakes, savouries, breads while watching the world and the trams pass by. If your in need of a coffee and a cake this is definitely the place to visit!

I have a personal affinity for local and rustic cafes and bakeries, and this place perfectly embodies those qualities. I purchased a loaf of sourdough, a beef pie, and some cookies, and thoroughly enjoyed both the experience and the quality of the products. I’m happy to drive about 20 minutes on the weekend to visit this cafe and explore Bourke Street, which is full of hidden gems.

Such a lovely bakery in Surry Hills. I thought the various baked goods were excellent, everything we tried was exceptionally made. Coffee was utterly delicious. Staff were so kind and helpful. Loved sitting outside. We will definitely return again.

Glenorie Bakery is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves pies and appreciates a unique, rustic atmosphere. The Beef and Mushroom Pie here is superb. Rich, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. The dessert options are equally impressive, with a variety of delicious treats that are hard to resist. The rustic charm of the bakery makes you feel comfortable and welcome. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some truly outstanding food. If you haven't been to Glenorie Bakery yet, you're missing out on a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

Delicious pies. The favourite was the brisket pie really good. Cool shop with a while bunch of baked goods like pies and dessert buns. They also stock a whole bunch of artisan good which they try to make you buy by filing you through the lines towards the front counter. They serve normal breakfast Cafe menu and have a large outdoor seating area. Came on a weekday and not much of a line but hear the weekends can get pretty hectic. Plenty of street parking in the area.

Wonderful place, well worth the visit. Very nice atmosphere, especially when you go early and it's not too crowded. Great service, as the pistachio croissant was not ready yet for takeaway when we got there, but the staff remembered us when they were done and offered to set aside some for us until we finished breakfast. Great pies as others have said, and the scones were amazing, easily the best I've ever had. Tasted great even the following two days. Will definitely go again.

Warm, cheerful welcome. We tried the beef rendang pie which was excellent. The beef and spice balance was just right. The lemon curd meringue cake was an outright winner. My family and I loved it and downed it in a hurry. My Flat White wasn't the best I had in Sydney, but wasn't all bad. The hot chocolate my daughter had was much better. If you want more choices of their awesome pies and pastries then go early. Finding a table can also be a challenge. We had a super visit though

We really loved this black forest cake purchased today! So easy to order on line and picked up easily in the time frame given. Service was fast and friendly. Coffee was also great! Was the best cake we have had in a while. I know where we will be coming for our next cake! We drove all the way from bass hill area to pick it up and it was well worth it! Thank you!

Weird place that has 2 storefronts a couple of doors away from each other. But it works. Coffee is delicious and the food is too. I only tried the ham and cheese croissant, Panna Cota Lamington and cappuccino, but they were great and it felt and tasted like they used good quality ingredients.
