St. Christopher's Cathedral, located in Forrest, was founded in 1938, with the church and school laying their foundation stone in 1927. Although the convent building opened its doors in 1928, the initial stage of the cathedral was the only part completed. Despite intentions to build a complete cathedral, the community faced fundraising challenges that prevented them from realising their plans. However, after years of effort, construction finally concluded, drawing a crowd of approximately 1,000 attendees. Over time, enhancements included the addition of a bell and stained glass window, finalized by 1973. The cathedral invites individuals to explore or rediscover the Catholic faith and engage with their church community. Guided by the vision centred around Jesus Christ, the work of the Archdiocese finds its beginning and culmination in His person. Notably, the gallery of St. Christopher's Cathedral doubled in size, currently housing 1,100 wood and metal pipes alongside the rose window.

ST. CHRISTOPHER'S CATHEDRAL REVIEWS
I attended mass here two years ago when I visited Canberra. The youth group are very active in participating in the church activities. They have a band that plays music while serving tea after the mass.
Lovely service and singing at the 11am Sunday mass. The bishop delivered a very relateable sermon and seemed to connect well with the people.
Probably the best church visited and mass was so peaceful and glorifying. Amazing sermon by the priest as well.

ST JOHN’S ANGLICAN CHURCH REVIEWS
There's a little bit of history everywhere you look! Alot of pioneering families lay to rest in this cemetery and the church itself is breathtaking. There's a small crypt below the church which can be seen by the steps leading below at the rear of the church. Please take care of our cemeteries. As always, I have videos on my channel of most places I visit.
Attended an evening piano recital here recently - what a unique experience. Music, culture, friends and food all within the grounds of Canberra's oldest church as the sun set.
Gorgeous old church that predates Canberra. Started out in the middle of an Australian paddock, now it looks like it is straight out of England.

Catholic Parish of St Joseph's, O'Connor is one of Canberra's most spiritually significant places of worship. Its establishment aimed to cater to the swiftly expanding population within the Canberra community. Designed by architect Kevin Curtin, the church was completed and formally inaugurated in 1973. Welcoming all without charge, St. Joseph's Catholic Church exudes an inviting atmosphere. The striking stained glass window at the church's forefront was crafted by artist Leonard French, followed by the addition of another stained glass window at the tower's base in 1977. At its core, the belief is that God seeks to share life and invites individuals to reciprocate this divine connection, offering grace and calling for a response rooted in faith. Over time, St. Joseph's Catholic Church underwent significant renovations, including alterations to the stained glass window frames and a complete restoration of the church's interior.

CATHOLIC PARISH OF ST JOSEPH'S, O'CONNOR REVIEWS
A very beautiful and unique Catholic Church from the inside. The architecture from the outside looks like a rocket and could be changed to something more traditional. Fr. Paul Nulley is an amazing and Holy priest who celebrates even the Novus Ordo Mass with such piety and reverence, even allowing communion in the tongue. God Bless Him and other faithful shepherds!
Great Catholic Church close to Canberra CBD. Rare architecture, very serene and peaceful!
Lovely priest, lovely church, lovely parishioners!
