“A/Prof Veronica Preda is an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Medicine, Human and Health Sciences at Macquarie University. She graduated with her Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine from the University of Sydney. She completed her Fellowship at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Metabolism and Endocrinology. A/Prof Veronica Preda has a particular interest in treating pituitary tumours, thyroid disease, obesity and diabetes. She also treats neuroendocrine tumours and genetic cancer syndromes related to endocrinology. She has more than 35 peer-reviewed publications in internationally respected medical journals and specialist textbooks. She continued her collaborative research with Oxford and Sydney Universities, writing her PhD on tumorigenesis pathways in sella masses, including pituitary and endocrine cancers. Her research has been presented at several international meetings and international journals. A/Prof Veronica Preda is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney Medical School, teaching medical students as well as postgraduate Master's of Internal Medicine students. She leads the Type 1 Medical Device clinic, Health Weight Metabolic service, and Pituitary Neuroendocrine service. A/Prof Veronica Preda also consults inpatients and has admitting rights at North Shore Private Hospital.
