Dr. Brighton performed a total knee replacement for me in August '24. I am very pleased with Dr. Brighton and all others assisting, the staff in the pre-admission clinic, anaesthetist and assistant surgeon. The care given by the nursing and rehabilitation programme is first class. I would recommend Dr. Brighton, his staff and Lakeside Hospital to anyone requiring knee surgery.

From my initial consultation through immediately prior to surgery and post surgery follow up and assessment I have been totally impressed with Dr. Brighton's professionalism. My recovery and very substantial improvement since my knee reconstruction are a testament to Dr. Brighton's obvious surgical skill. Practice Manager Sonia Ghosn must also be thanked for her organisation and her patience in answering my many questions.

Dr Brighton did my knee replacement surgery. The overall experience was amazing. From when you walk in and is greeted and helped by Sonia for the first time and all the way through the process, Dr Brighton & Sonia continued to be highly supportive and professional. Thanks to you I can be active again.

I was so fortunate to have my total knee replacement done by Associate Professor Vertzyas. The fact that he is a leading orthopaedic surgeon was highlighted when he sat with me after surgery talking through the perfect fit of my prosthesis for my knee joint and its perfect alignment in my body. Nick’s skill as a surgeon is only surpassed by his wonderful bedside manner. He is so kind, patient and respectful not only to his patients but to all the hospital staff who sing his praise. At my first appointment Nick took his time to understand me as an individual, talking through my issues and fears and the risks associated with the surgery. He then handed me over to the support team in his office. These wonderful women took me through the steps I needed to follow to be able to have the surgery. I felt supported the whole time. I am a 60 year old women and this surgery has changed my life, giving me back the chance to move and enjoy life as a 60 year old should.

I can highly recommend A/Prof Nick Vertzyas as he was the Surgeon that performed my Knee Replacement 5 years ago at St Vincent's Private Hospital Darlinghurst, when I was 58 years old. I am extremely grateful to him as this procedure has afforded me a wonderful quality of life. I have total use of my knee and suffer no pain or ill effects since the surgery and I am "Living my Best Life". I can not thank or be more grateful to have been referred to Prof Sameer Viswanathan. I had raptured my tibialis anterior tendon in late April Not knowing the severity of the injury i requested to see Prof. Visawanathan after reading his reviews and a recommendation from family who work in the medical field. Lucky for me he was available to see me. In the first consultation I was booked in to have scans and surgery within 5 days. I instantly felt comfortable and safe in the care of this gentle and caring professional. He explained the best and worst outcomes of this type of surgery and aimed for the best outcome. So relieved to see him early the next morning after the surgery to give me the great news we had the best outcome. The follow up appointments were organised and ran on time. The staff in his office were great. A special thank you to the nurse that works along side him she was so gentle and caring with the removal of stitches dressings. Glad to be on the last stage of recovery of this injury all made possible by the ability and brilliance of Prof.Wiswanathan. Would highly recommend this Orthopaedic surgeon.
