DR ROGER BRIGHTON - ST VINCENT’S HIP AND KNEE SURGEONS REVIEWS
I was very nervous about needing to have total knee replacement surgery especially as someone who has worked on their feet all their life. Dr Brighton is a complete gentleman and the costs were very clear before surgery was completed and I was made to feel completely at ease before surgery which is quite daunting. Sonia, his practise manager ,explained all costs involved and I was pleasantly surprised when the total bill ended up $1500 less than expected. I am fully back on my feet and mobile with little to no pain 3 months later and back running a restaurant. The nurses and physios at St Vincent's and St Luke's Hospital made everything easy post surgery. If you need a knee replacement I would highly recommend Dr Brighton. I am 61 but now feel like 40 again!.
Had a full hip relacement just over 6 weeks ago and am pretty much fully recovered thanks to the excellence of Dr Brighton and his team. The entire experience has been seamless from the initial consultation to the post-op service from Roger and Sonia. I'm swimming 80 laps daily and walking as much as I did pre-op without pain. Would highly recommend anyone contemplating a knee or hip replacement to do so via Dr Brighton and St Vincents Clinic.
i had bilateral knee replacements, am six weeks in back at work and walking really well. thanks to Dr Brighton for being a great skilled surgeon. my scares are disappearing and soon it will all be a memory. i have seen at rehab alot of people that have not had such a successful recovery. the whole process was seamless Sonia made everything easy and seamless. thanks team Brighton.

DR NICK VERTZYAS - ST VINCENT’S CLINIC REVIEWS
I cannot recommend Prof Nick Vertzyas and his team highly enough! My surgery was a complicated one. I'd had a total knee replacement previously, by another surgeon, which had given me a pretty good result but after a few years I'd started to have days with significant pain and difficulty walking. A fall from a bicycle finished me off and I had to seek help. I'd heard of great results from this team so I arranged an initial appointment. Prof Vertzyas was meticulous in the tests he sent me for and he discovered that a full revision was needed. A full revision is typically far harder to recover from plus my knee was in an awful state, as was discovered during surgery, but my pain level was far less than the original surgery and my recovery so much faster. I am at 3 months now with a range from 0 to 130 degrees (achieved within 6 weeks), walking up and down stairs without the use of a balustrade, walking several kilometres without a problem and even swimming with fins and a kickboard for a kilometre. Also Prof Vertzyas is such a warm, friendly man who makes you feel completely at ease and safe in his hands. If you have orthopaedic issues this is the team to see!.
Whilst any surgery is not the most exciting prospect for any person, my experience with Associate Professor Vertzyas was one of extreme professionalism and compassionate attendance. I personally was very advanced in my recovery (generally two weeks ahead of what would be considered a normal recovery period). I put this down to the expertise of A/P Vertzyas and his team. Recommending people have total knee replacement surgery is not my position, but if surgery is required I would have no hesitation in recommending A/P Nick Vertzyas.
I can highly recommend A/Prof Nick Vertzyas as he was the Surgeon that performed my Knee Replacement 5 years ago at St Vincent's Private Hospital Darlinghurst, when I was 58 years old. I am extremely grateful to him as this procedure has afforded me a wonderful quality of life. I have total use of my knee and suffer no pain or ill effects since the surgery and I am "Living my Best Life". I have since climbed mountains in Kakadu National Park N.T., to swim in pristine water holes, can take long walks in the bush and along beaches, take great joy in being able to physically take an active role as a Grandparent. I am able to live a well lived life. A/Prof Nick Vertzyas is very caring and informative about the whole surgery procedure in regards to what to expect before, during and after the recovery. I totally recommend him!!!.

SAMEER VISWANATHAN - CAMPBELLTOWN PRIVATE HOSPITAL REVIEWS
Dr Viswanathan operated on me just over 13 weeks ago, I had double knee replacements. The operation was a great success. I have straight legs again after a very long time and am walking well. Dr Viswanathan is a wonderful surgeon with a great bedside manner. I found him to be very professional and easy to talk to and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anybody needing surgery. I am so happy with my new knees.
Had double knee replacement 5 weeks ago and am pain free for the first time in 5 years. Dr was humble enough to credit me with my ahead of schedule recovery, but I'm pretty sure he played a big part in how the surgery was performed.
Dr Viswanathan did a complete knee reconstruction for me My knee is now feeling great, and he did such a great job Highly recommend.
