“Dr Phillip Katelaris is a highly trained urological surgeon with over 36 years of international and national experience. He is an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand. He trained as a general and abdominal surgeon, and he later specialised in urological surgery, receiving postgraduate surgical training in Germany. Dr Katelaris has pioneered the use of multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and MRI-guided prostate biopsies to enhance the accuracy of prostate cancer diagnosis, and he is internationally trained in robotic surgery. He frequently lectures general practitioners on various aspects of urological care and regularly attends major national and international conferences focused on advancements in urological practices and surgical technologies. His practice operates out of three locations, Hornsby, Castle Hill, and St. Leonards, and he performs surgeries at Sydney Adventist Hospital.”
