3 Best Martial Arts Classes in Hervey Bay QLD

I recently moved from Sydney to Hervey Bay and I am very impressed with BJJ Hervey Bay. I train in both the gi and no-gi classes, and the club has a great culture that is very supportive and inclusive. The club caters to a range of belts and has a good mix of more senior belts while also training the fundamentals and catering to new starters. My 5-year-old daughter also trains in the children's classes, and she really enjoys it (although we are both still working on tying our belts!). I highly recommend BJJ Hervey Bay.

While travelling through I popped in for a session. I was impressed by the level of instruction, skill and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you Joel and the crew for session and look forward to revisiting upon my return.

Dropped in to train here while on work trip at Hervey Bay, coaches and training partners were all really welcoming, informative and was able to get some really good rolls in! Highly recommend Bjj Hervey Bay to anyone visiting or living in Hervey Bay.

Would highly recommend for anyone looking to better themselves and grow physically, mentally and spiritually !

Great community and instructors everybody is friendly. Great place to be if you want to improve yourself mentally and physically.

A great health and wellbeing community very welcoming to all levels of experience . Classes ranging from meditation all the way to warrior fitness.

Our girl started out meek and mild and has grown under Renshi’s guidance to become a strong, fit and self-assured young lady who has developed some serious martial arts skills. She studies traditional kata, self defence and even nun-chaku and bo staff techniques along with the Japanese terms for all. She has had ample opportunities to compete against other clubs in Queensland, NSW, New Zealand and even Japan but enjoys Renshi’s own invitational tournament held right here in Hervey Bay the most.

Our daughter has been a student of Renshi Amanda for nearly 6 years and we are so very glad to be part of BMA. The classes are disciplined and ever-respectful of Renshi’s karate ancestry going right back to Soke Kubota, creating a sense of history, tradition and family. Amanda’s own karate skills are formidable but she displays these not with raw aggression, but with the style of one who understands the beauty and importance of each movement.

Ever since I joined Bayside Martial Arts, I have developed and learnt so much more because of my amazing instructors: Renshi Amanda, Sempai Collin, Sempai Sebastian, Sempai Taylah, and not forgetting my amazing team mates, there amazing families and support.
