He earned his degree from the University of Queensland and completed his physician training at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, followed by advanced training in cardiology. His expertise extends to interventional cardiology, with a fellowship at The Prince Charles Hospital, and a two-year clinical and research fellowship in interventional cardiology and vascular diagnosis and intervention at the Lahey Clinic. Dr. Peter J Larsen holds accreditation as a Level B CTCA Specialist and has specific interests in various interventional cardiac and endovascular procedures. This place is only a few years old, very busy as well Staff are great Also doctors and the nurses are as well. Parking area is ground level and also up the ramp 1st level, some undercover on the 1st level easy access from both elevator on ground level. Very easy to find as well.
The Heart HQ team are professional, polite and committed to communicating what’s going on when you suddenly discover you have a problem. In my case it was a non-stemi heart attack so 2 stents later done by Dr Larsen, all good. Dr Johnson manages my post operational care & is very good as well. Care & communication is great.
From parking my car to entering reception to seeing the nurse and the Radiologists to finally the Doctor was all done skilfully, and approachable for me. HQ is a kind and professionally run business of taking care of you.

Dr. Stuart Butterly, an interventional cardiologist and structural heart specialist associated with Heart HQ, is a graduate of the University of Queensland. He is enthusiastic about utilizing distal radial artery access for coronary angiography and stenting. Dr. Stuart Butterly has contributed to Australian and international medical journal publications. Currently pursuing a PhD through the University of Queensland, his research revolves around patients experiencing acute myocardial injury in the absence of obstructive coronary artery disease. Beyond his research endeavours, Dr Stuart Butterly holds the director position at Heart HQ and maintains affiliations with Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital in Birtinya, QLD. Stuart discovered the Sunshine Coast when he rotated to Nambour General Hospital as part of his specialist cardiology training. He resolved to return there to live and practice as a Cardiologist once his training was complete.
