This French-inspired Melbourne café is an institution, a definite recommendation for breakfast or brunch. While they don't accept reservations, they offer a waiting list to avoid standing in line. It's particularly popular on weekends, so be ready for a potential wait. The array of drinks and dishes isn't just good; it's excellent! The staff is genuinely helpful, contributing to a delightful and uplifting atmosphere that can brighten your day.
The baked eggs deux was amazing and worth the price. It’s very filling. The staff are really nice, and you can feel the happy vibe in the whole place as they sing along to the music and make random cat sounds.
It's a wonderful place. I stumbled upon it a few years ago and keep coming back for amazing food and service.

FRANCE-SOIR REVIEWS
Absolutely bustling every night, France Soir is an absolute must try for everyone. The extensive menu means there is something for everyone - steak, fish of the day, and all the well-known and well-loved favourites. Definitely can't go past the escargots and lamb brains here if you want to try something different. Executed very well and bursting with flavours!
Everything about this was awesome. The ambience, the location, the food, the service. Can’t complain about a single thing. Loved the Escargots and the Rib Eye Steak. The Crème Brûlée was amazing!
Never ever disappointed at France Soir. I super recommended here anytime lunch or dinner. Food is amazing and wine list as well.

Beautiful French food! Thank you The French Brasserie for being amazing hosts for our team lunch. We loved all the dishes, favourites included escargot, oysters, beef cheeks, the fish and the crème brûlée. The cocktails were also incredible - definitely try the French Martini when you visit. Thank you again to the lovely team at the restaurant who made our lunch so fun.
