First came here three years ago and had amazing food, so came back again when visiting Melbourne. First off, the owner is super friendly and makes the time to chat and make you feel welcome. The food is excellent and has a bit of a home style vibe. The pho in particular has an excellent, clean, northern style broth. Spring rolls with lettuce were also some of the best I've had and you can tell they're made in house.

Traveled from New Orleans to Melbourne on business and am SO glad I stumbled upon this place. An easy walk from the riverfront and absolutely worth the trek. The food is delicious, and the owner is delightful. The brisket pho was precisely what I needed after a long week.

Absolutely love this place! The food was very good! I had the Bun with crispy tofu and it was divine! The owner is a character and I loved him! I'll be back.

Mekong Restaurant in Melbourne continues to impress, now on my fourth visit—and if it’s good enough for Bill Gates, who reportedly ate two bowls here, it’s definitely worth returning! The pho broth is simply the best, rich and aromatic, transporting you straight to the streets of Vietnam. Their sambal adds the perfect kick, complementing the flavors beautifully.

Service here is consistently fast and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience even during busy hours. However, be mindful of the extra service tip on weekends, which can catch you off guard. Despite this, the overall experience is worth it.

Mekong's reputation for exceptional pho and brisk service keeps me coming back. It’s a spot where both memories and meals are made. If you’re in Melbourne and craving a bowl of soul-warming pho, Mekong is the place to be.

Always the go on in Footscray, the roast chicken medium Pho is dish of choice and excellent quick service. Better food than in Vietnam, the meat is better quality.

One of my go-to pho spots that a friend recommended years ago. Lately the beef portions feel a bit smaller, but the flavor’s still on point.

Best pho I’ve ever had, I come all the time and it’s always consistent and great service. Would 100% recommend.
