“Sushi Hotaru is the perfect place to find affordable Japanese food. The restaurant has seating at the bar along the train, as well as three tables for four people. This Japanese eatery serves plates of sushi on conveyor belts. The sushi train usually passes by one side of these tables, but taking a detour for lunch today. Sushi Hotaru has a wide selection with a strong emphasis on freshness. The iPads at each table make ordering hot dishes, drinks, and sides straightforward, and the service is swift. You can select a few dishes from the sushi train or the user-friendly touchscreen menu. SUSHI HOTARU REVIEWS

It's a brilliant place with some excellent food! The food and experience are authentic, and as such it's not the place to hang around for long periods, especially in one of the coveted booths. There are also no reservations available, so expect to be waiting a little while for a seat during peak times. But it's well worth it! Really good for hanging out with friends or going for a quick bite between events on a night out. Highly recommended.

My favorite sushi place, ever! Everything from the presentation to the taste right down to customer service is brilliant! Thank you so much for being so accommodating.

My pile of empty plates says it all! Delicious. It's the second time here, a few months apart & have been so good both times. It's a calm atmosphere for a weekday lunch, even when busy. The staff are very friendly and attentive. One of my favourite Sushi trains in the Melbourne CBD...and there are quite a few.

Such a hidden gem! The ramen was rich and flavorful — the broth was perfectly balanced and the noodles had the right chewiness. Their matcha drinks were smooth and fragrant, not too sweet, and paired so well with the desserts. The matcha tiramisu and mochi were absolutely delicious! The staff were super friendly, and the place has a cozy Japanese vibe. Perfect spot for both lunch and an afternoon dessert break. Highly recommended.

Delectable, beautifully presented and above all, fresh food. The decor in the restaurant was simple yet elegant, warm, neat and clean. The service was efficient and fast. Could be a bit more personable. Overall very professional. Fantastic! I would and have been recommending this place to everyone.It inspired me.

Amazing experience! Magic latte with house blend and hojicha latte both strong and delicious. Matcha crepe cake is delicate. Not too sweet but yummy. They have a wide range of options. Definitely need to come back.

Celebrated our 5 year anniversary here tonight and the staff made it so special! We happened to find this place when we were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and have come back every anniversary since (and many times in between). The staff are amazing, the food is 10/10 - by far our favourite place to go. We also tried the new dessert tonight and it was delicious!! Photo attached. Thanks so much team.

I had an amazing time at the restaurant. The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The rotating conveyor belt made it so convenient to try different types of sushi without having to wait. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves sushi.

The meat is of great quality and the food is delicious. The prices are reasonable, so you can order plenty to enjoy. The sushi is also fresh and high-quality.
