“2025 Update: Belmont-Adamstown Rail Trail is a Kid-friendly hike. The visitors are a wonderful experience for cycling, walking, birdwatching, jogging or simply to enjoy nature away from traffic and the constant noise of cities and towns. Belmont-Adamstown Rail Trail is a green trail with various off-track walking trails, the wildflower walk being notable, especially when native species are flowering and pathways are well maintained. You can walk your dog, push prams or ride bikes. 15km in length, can be done in sections. They provide the Cycling lanes and public restrooms. Belmont-Adamstown Rail Trail offers Wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.”

BLACKBUTT NATURE RESERVE REVIEWS

Amazed at how a space like this was free access. The walkways were well kept, there was plenty of information about all of the animals and the keepers were very friendly and clearly cared. Expect to see peacocks roaming free, koalas, kangaroos, lizards, plenty of birds and plenty plenty more. There seems to be space for shows and lots of kids activities.

A great place for families and kids. Free entry, beautiful little rainforest tracks, perfect for young kids to patrol. Lots of native animals to look at. Playground also available.

A beautiful place to visit for free, with a variety of Aussie wildlife on display.

Glenrock State Conservationis an amzing place with plenty of things to do. The biking trails are even and well maintained. The serenity of the nature is amazing as well and wha'ts best, free parking guys. I loved it.

Great place for hiking, bike riding, horse riding and exploring in general. Good tracks, and well maintained.

A great place to bike or bush walk with plenty of trails, some of which will take you down to the beach.

BELMONT-ADAMSTOWN RAIL TRAIL REVIEWS

Excellent trail for biking, running and walking. Great scenery, especially at the Belmont end where it cuts through wetlands. Nice little reminders of when it was a working rail line including platforms, rail and rolling stock. All users were sensible and respectful in my experience. Cafes along the way a bonus!.

Such an amazing track. Pathed the whole way. 30 kilometres round trip. Lots of shade along the way. Pack water as only two water bubblers along the whole track. Lovely cafe at the beginning at the old Belmont train station.

The Fernleigh Track from Belmont either to Adamstown or Swansea is a wonderful experience for cycling, walking, birdwatching, jogging or simply to enjoy nature away from traffic and the constant noise of cities and towns.
