DR GERT TOLLESSON - BRAIN AND SPINE SURGERY QUEENSLAND REVIEWS
A pleasurable and warranted review of Neurosurgeon Dr Tollesson. After sustaining multiple injuries and chronic pain, I have had the pleasure of finally finding not only an amazing surgeon but a fantastic, caring and compassionate person also. Dr Tollesson is a leading neurosurgeon who see’s the person behind the disease/injury and empathise with you. An empathetic and extremely professional neurosurgeon who ensures that your emotional health and well-being are also taken care of, not just your neurological problems. I’m quite a complex case due to migraines, blurred vision, spinal cord injuries and lumbar spine issues (Most including blurred vision, migraines and extreme nerve pain have been exponentially improved which in turn has given me quality of life).I have referred many people for second opinions and they have come out with improved health outcomes, improved quality of life, improved hope and confidence after seeing Dr Tollesson. I cannot recommend him highly enough in words and I have had significant injuries/ surgeries as well as been on the roller coaster of trialling surgeons and cannot find one close to the level of this amazing man.
So happy with the care given to me by Dr Tollesson and his team. I was admitted to Greenslopes Hospital in really bad pain from severe spinal stenosis. I had tried opioid painkillers, physio, massage, cortisone injections but nothing was even touching the excruciating pain I was in. Dr Tollesson went through my scans with me very carefully and clearly to explain all the multiple issues with my spine and recommended surgery to which I readily agreed. 3 weeks later I was back for the op which went perfectly and I am pain free 6 weeks post op and so grateful for the wonderful care from not just Dr Tollesson but his lovey wife, nurse and admin, he has a whole team approach and they all make you feel cared for and supported. I highly recommend this doctor and his practice for spinal care.
Very Caring and experienced surgeon. Easy to communicate with and Brenda is amazing too. Thankyou for giving me my life back.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR SARAH OLSON REVIEWS
Sarah has been treating my wife for high grade brain cancer for over five years. She is an outstanding specialist and extremely well regarded. My wife has a team of six specialists who regularly reflect on the skill and commitment of Sarah. All the nurse and care teams we have been associated with cannot be more glowing in their comments of Sarah. We feel extremely lucky to have her supporting us with skill and great compassion. I know from my involvement with the brain tumour support community that she is well regarded nationally. Her office support team have been equally fantastic. Thanks, Sarah – we love ya work!
Dr Sarah is incredible. She is a highly skilled neurosurgeon who is genuinely caring, compassionate and authentic. She helps you feel completely at ease and confident in her care. She has changed my life and I am so thankful.
This beautiful careing surgeon has changed my life. I can walk standing up straight, I’m now close to pain free. She had so much care and understanding of my situation. I’m 71 and was very active up until my situation changed with shocking nerve pain to my legs. Now I’m back at it with my life back. I thank you for the chance to live again. They say you are the best and I can sure agree.

DR RICHARD KAHLER - BRIZ BRAIN & SPINE REVIEWS
As most of you would be visiting a Neurosurgeon in a state of anxiety and fear - it is likely that any directness from the Doctor would perhaps appear abrupt. I have had this beforewith other Doctors. We must remember, they are human and dealing with serious, sometimes deadly issues. I found Dr Kahler somewhere in the middle on my first visit. With each subsequent visit he has become warmer. Now this could be that I am more comfortable with my condition or, and I believe this is so, my trust in him has grown. I would not go to anyone else and I trust his diagnosis and treatment options completely. I would rather have a brilliant Doctor - fantastic in his job any day , than a jokey friendly one who makes mistakes :-)
Dr Kahler is an excellent surgeon and has helped me out with my spinal issues. I am pain free and able to get on with life very quickly. Has a surgeon's usual demeanor but I wasn't in there to make a new best friend. Highly recommended.
Dr Kahler was caring and compassionate. He was exceptionally accurate with my diagnosis and treatment. It has now been two years since he performed my difficult surgery and I have nothing but praise for his work. I had been warned about his manner but I found him very friendly and we shared some laughs.
