“Dr Geoff Coughlin is Australia’s most experienced and highest-volume robotic surgeon. He earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1998 and completed his urology training in Queensland, receiving his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in January 2007. “Dr Boon Kua is the director of UROBRIZ at the Wesley Hospital. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Queensland. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Coughlin and his amazing team for their exceptional care and support throughout my prostate cancer treatment. From the initial diagnosis to the final follow-up, Dr. Coughlin’s expertise and compassionate approach made a world of difference. He took the time to explain every step of the process, ensuring I felt informed and confident in my treatment plan. Words cannot properly encapsulate the gratitude I have for Dr Geoff Couglin's approach, capabilities, and compassion through such a challenging time in removing my prostate and the cancerous tumours attached, while preserving as much of the nerve bundles as possible to give me the best chance of recovery. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who is faced with prostate cancer where surgery is recommended, the outcome is so much better than that which was going through my mind beforehand. Likewise, the nursing and support staff at Wesley were top notch, so I have immense appreciation for the team involved.

Dr Geoff did a partial nephrectomy several years ago. I had no problems and healed well. No issues since and my cancer completely removed. If I could I would rate 10 stars for sure. Always grateful to have had such a skilled surgeon.

My wife and myself found Dr Yaxley to be approachable,friendly and professional. Very funny and normal He is brilliant ...from the first telephone appointment ..to the biopsy..to the radical robotic prosectomy..to after surgery care he was available to talk to....just add Judi is helpful professional and amazing at her job..

In our region of the Fraser Coast to have access to such professional people such as Dr Yaxley and his admin (Judi) is very special. John has a manner that spells directness with care. His confidence translates. From day one you are in good hands.

I underwent a TURP surgery for an enlarged prostate at Wesley Hospital, but Dr Kua discovered very aggressive prostate cancer when the pathology results came back. Without hesitation, he completed all necessary tests while I was at the hospital and organized his team to perform a robotic prostatectomy on a Saturday. His swift action saved my life and gave me a new chance. Dr. Kua's bedside manner is unparalleled; he visited me every morning, providing updates on test results and ensuring I felt supported. As I face this daunting battle, I find solace in knowing I have such a capable and caring doctor. Choosing him means choosing the best.

Dr Kua did a great job when carrying out the removal of my Prostate. He gave me options after a biopsy confirmed that the cells were cancerous. I decided to go for the robotic removal as that was nearly certain to eliminate any possibility of the cancer spreading . After nearly 12 months, recovery has quickened pace and function is nearly back to normal. I consider that I have been operated on by an extremely competent surgeon. Dr Kua is quick to establish common ground and easy to talk to. If I needed a second Prostate to be removed I would hope Dr Kua would do it!

Dr Boon Kua is an excellent surgeon and a very good communicator. He is never rushed and takes time to explain. I had robotic surgery nearly three months ago and the operation went very well. The ladies in his practice reception are also very helpful and kind. I am really happy that my GP recommended Dr Kua to us. He is highly recommended.
