“Christ Church Cathedral is a Gothic Revival type architecture that John Horbury Hunt designed. The church's building was a long and complicated process that took many years to create and achieve. The church has been a worship site for civil and military officials for years. As the population grew, the church building required expansion, so they created a new design. Christ Church Cathedral's new building was constructed with stone and is big enough to hold over a thousand people. Christ Church Cathedral measures 72.5 metres long and 26.5 metres wide, having around 160 windows, of which 72 are filled with stained glass. Christ Church Cathedral obscures the skyline, attracting tourists, pilgrims, and residents who want to attend mass and enjoy the beautiful architecture and art. They strive to deliver worship with beauty, colour, order and dignity as they respond to the living God who makes himself known here with open hearts and minds.”
